A.R. WE$T is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Detroit Michigan. She embarked on her dream to have a music career at 16 years old while growing up on the Westside of Detroit in the West Warren neighborhood. A.R. aka Ms. West believes that her music is like another form of communication "When I'm angry I stutter, when I'm sad I cry, I'm so In tune with my emotions, that I write to keep them from getting out of hand".
